Holly Mill info from management company FYI.

Yearly dues remain at $340.

Both the Nomination form and the Proxy are a waste of 1,326 sheets of paper (663 homes x 2) as there will never be a quorum so no one can be elected and owners will never be able to vote on anything.

I only attended 2 yearly meetings and neither reached 50 homes represented at the meeting, even counting the proxy forms.  So the current BOD will remain in office without any changes and if one moves or dies etc then the remaining BOD members will simply choose the replacement.

OPENED TODAY - Martin's Fast Food Restaurant - South Canton 

Just opened at 3494 Marietta Hwy, Canton GA 30114, Phone: (770)383-1298.

This is just a short block North of the existing McDonald's location, between I-575 Exits 14 and 16.

In theory they are open from 5 am to 3 pm*, however on their unannounced grand opening on 11-14 at 2:52 pm they were swamped with more customers showing up. So at least on this Thursday they would be open past their posted closing time.

Senior Discounts are available for those 55 and older. They must ask for their Senior Cup which is a custom made, logoed, insulated mug with a handle. They give them to our senior citizens upon their request. On subsequent visits our senior customers receive a free coffee or soft drink in their Senior Cup.

  This really never changes as no election can be held because there is never, and probably never will be, a 'quorum' of the 663 homeowners. Probably 15% are owned by realty firms who rent out the homes and they couldn't care less.
  So any rare vacancy is filled by appointing someone to the board and of course only vetted 'friends' will ever be on the board. Can anything be done about this? No.

  The same people will remain 'in office' until they die of old age (and probably 2 will soon).

  Got something to say to the BOD? Here is some contact info they don't want you to have. I put it together when I still had access to the HOA site and could pull up records.
  I got banned from it about 2 yrs ago and the HOA lawyer told my lawyer I would only get reinstated if I agreed not to use the residents contact list to contact residents.
  I also got dumped off probably 3 (maybe only 2) other HM sites which were not run by the HOA but had HOA BOD members as members of these sites who didn't want me on them.
  Every six or so months I use to get a solicitation from Sherry Jernigan who lives a few doors away in HM The View, sending me info on joining her site. On 7/5/17 I sent her a reply asking her to take me off her mailing list as I had twice joined only to be dropped later.
  I annoyed the big wigs when I questioned the need for the tennis courts to be redone at the start of the summer season as it was not any emergency and should have waited for Fall when it could be done without disruption, also I wanted to know whether the job had been put out to bid, who bid, how much were the bids and did Douglas Property Management (who run this place) have any financial interest in the firm selected to do the job. (Never got any answer to any of this).
  I am not very active in this HM business these days as nothing is going to change. Now and then I put something up on hollymill30114.blogspot.com and of course there is the douglaspropertymanagement.blogspot.com site.
  This DPM is far too closely tied to the BOD, all go back to the founding of HM and at the very least the BOD should get competitive bids from other management firms to see if any savings could be made on the management of the 4 phase subdivision. No interest at all for that idea.

"The 2018 Holly Mill homeowners Association annual meeting notes are attached. there was not an official meeting as there only 14 homeowners present and we only received 15 proxies. in order to have quorum for the meeting we would need 165 homeowners present or have their proxy."

















HOLLY MILL POST OFFICE MOVES Sat Feb 17th
To it's new location of 2210 Holly Springs Pky #126.
This is just across the parking lot from the Wal Mart store. Large lot for parking and several restaurants in that strip mall so you can doing your mailings, check your post office box etc and have lunch, all in the same strip mall.

Holly Springs Parkway to close for widening


Holly Springs Parkway (also known as Main Street) in Holly Springs will be closed for four months starting this spring as the road is widened from the Home Depot store to Rabbit Hill Road. GOOGLE MAPS
The widening of Holly Springs Parkway in its namesake city is expected to start this spring – with a portion of the street closed for four months – now that the City Council has awarded a $3.2 million construction contract to Baldwin Paving Co. Inc., officials announced.

The parkway will be closed from the Home Depot store, just north of Sixes Road, to Rabbit Hill Road from approximately April 1 to Aug. 1. The entire project is expected to take about nine months after the notice to proceed is given.

Plans call for Holly Springs Parkway to get four travel lanes with a median from the Home Depot to Rabbit Hill; an extension of culverts over Toonigh Creek; and sidewalks, lamp posts and a new traffic light at Rabbit Hill. Also, Rabbit Hill will be improved from the parkway to I-575.

To help offset costs, the developers of the Meridian at Holly Springs, a mixed-use residential and commercial project, and the Sixes Ridge and Holly Park apartments will contribute $1,177 per residential unit, or $1.07 million, officials said.
